MyFlexHome is Germany’s first hotel subscription. We offer a completely new and innovative housing option for people in hybrid work models who do not live near their office. For the days of presence in the office, the employee books his hotel nights in a subscription at a constant price and benefits from other advantages.

Why did you decide to start a business?

We have seen in our circle of friends and acquaintances that many people have moved away in the last two years, but at the same time kept their jobs. As a result, we wondered how they will spend the night at your place of work in the future when it’s partly back to the office. We received a lot of positive feedback for the idea of the hotel subscription and developed the concept further in a business plan. This gave us the motivation to found MyFlexHome.

What is the vision behind MyFlexHome?

Live and work where you want – home office in your favorite place – hotel subscription for office days.

From idea to launch what have been the biggest challenges so far and how have you financed?

The conviction of the hotel industry to offer a subscription with us at a constant price, for a new target group of “hybrid workers”. Currently we are still self-financed by the founding team.

Who is the target group of MyFlexHome?

People in hybrid work models, we call them the “hybrid workers” who do not live near their office, and all people who regularly need accommodation of 4-12 nights per month in a city.

How does MyFlexHome work?

The customer books a subscription for 4-12 nights per month at a constant price via the homepage at a hotel of his choice. He can adjust the number of nights monthly and if not all nights are used, the nights can be used the next month.

Where are the advantages?

The customer saves up to 60% with us in comparison with individual bookings or a fixed monthly rent for a second home. In addition, as a MyFlexHome customer, they receive special benefits at the hotel that they would not otherwise receive, such as luggage storage between their stays. Our booking process is very streamlined and all nights are bookable with just one click.

What sets you apart from other providers?

In our opinion, there is no direct competitor to MyFlexHome (yet). With our subscription model you are extremely flexible (can be canceled monthly), it is easy (choose and book hotel) and cheap (pay only for actual nights instead of a monthly rent).

MyFlexHome, where is the road leading?

Following the successful pilot phase in Munich, we will expand our hotel subscription offer to other German cities from 2023 at the latest.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

In the medium term, we want to become Europe’s leading platform for hotel subscriptions and thus the alternative to classic forms of accommodation, such as a second home, for commuters.

In conclusion: What 3 tips would you give to aspiring founders?

Early exchange with all relevant stakeholders and regular challenging of one’s own path. Identify paths that don’t work early and don’t pursue them.
